Doctor Brian has had extensive and varied training in the fields of ophthalmology, internal medicine, and general surgery. After graduating from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine, he completed his rotating internship year at Booth Memorial Hospital in Queens. This was followed by an Ophthalmology Residency at the prestigious Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He then completed his full board certification in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Brian utilizes the latest techniques and technology for state of the art cataract and laser surgery. His reputation as a caring physician and outstanding clinician is well known throughout Rockaway. Dr. Brian has a passion for treating patients of all ages, and he prides himself on spending all the time necessary to treat his patients well.

Dr. Swerving was really great! He explained everything to me and I actually learned a few things I didn't know before. This was also the first time in all my years of having my eye pressure checked that I didn't blink or flinch or even feel him do anything! Really awesome!
