About Dr. Leonard Bley
Dr. Bley, the founder of Laser & Microsurgery Institute, is internationally recognized as a leader in cataract and refractive surgery. He is also among a select group of surgeons pioneering surgical alternatives to Lasik, such as Intraocular Contact Lenses and clear lens extraction.
Dr. Bley earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York University, where he also completed specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery. He also trained in Ophthalmology at Bellevue Hospital Center and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

The doctor, Doctor Wu, was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to answer my questions, so I had a good experience with the actual eye exam.
Unfortunately, the front desk and office communication were very disappointing. The doctor ordered trial contact lenses for me, but no one ever contacted me to let me know they had arrived. I only received them because I stopped by the office in person. Since then, I’ve been trying to reach the office because the trial lenses aren’t working well for me and I’d like to try a different option, but it’s been very difficult to get anyone on the phone. I also need my PD measurement for my glasses prescription and haven’t been able to reach the office about that either.
I would recommend the doctor, but the office staff and communication need significant improvement.
