About Dr. Leonard Bley
Dr. Bley, the founder of Laser & Microsurgery Institute, is internationally recognized as a leader in cataract and refractive surgery. He is also among a select group of surgeons pioneering surgical alternatives to Lasik, such as Intraocular Contact Lenses and clear lens extraction.
Dr. Bley earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York University, where he also completed specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery. He also trained in Ophthalmology at Bellevue Hospital Center and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

Dr Vu was my doctor, not the one I signed up for on Zocdoc. He was extremely rude and didn't have any bedside manner. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He talked to me as if I were a child and was very condescending.

I had a truly exceptional experience at NY LASIK. I was scheduled quickly for the evaluation of a potentially urgent condition that had me quite concerned. Every part of this extensive visit reflected outstanding professionalism, compassion and care.
Reception: Warm and efficient. Technician: Kind, patient and clear during a multi-step, intricate testing process. Drs. Bley and Vu: So very thorough, informative and reassuring during the examinations / discussions. They took time to explain everything and answer all my questions. This practice exceeded my (already high) expectations — and that’s saying something, as my wife has been a loyal patient here for years. A well-deserved 5 stars across the board.
