Dr. Hochman was very friendly and assertive. He read my chart before coming in and had an idea of the injury and treatment prior to seeing me. Tweaked that based of further discussion. He is a cyclist and new exactly what I was feeling and how to treat it. Great Doctor for any cycling injury talked to podiatry!
It was a very pleasant visit all around. The staff was very nice and relatable. Really easy to schedule Appt and they were spot on with everything they needed and didn't waste my time with any red tape.

Dr. Hochman was extremely skilled, kind, and empathetic when I visited his office in July, 2023; he literally rescued me from the pain and frustration I had experienced previously with doctors in two emergency rooms and at my primary care doctor's office. After examining my foot wound, he immediately scheduled me for surgery that afternoon. I honestly feel he may have been responsible for saving my foot.

Dr. Brian Hochman was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Industrial Design/Furniture Design. He then went on to receive his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University. Dr. Hochman completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island where he served as Chief Resident. During residency, he gained extensive and meticulous training in elective foot and ankle procedures, sports medicine, and limb salvage/wound care. Dr. Hochman is Board Qualified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, which are recognized by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. After completing residency he and his wife, Dr. Van Dao Hochman, moved to Leander to open their practice, Crystal Falls Foot + Ankle Specialists.
Dr. Hochman co-authored a textbook chapter on metatarsalgia as well as presented original research on the incidence of hot foot in the cycling community. He has been a speaker at multiple regional podiatric conferences. Dr. Hochman treats all types of problems in adults and children, with a special interest in sports medicine and biomechanics. He is an avid cyclist who has crossed the United States twice with organizations raising money and awareness for affordable housing.
Dr. Hochman enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Van Dao Hochman. In his spare time, he also enjoys the great outdoors, including cycling, running, hiking, and kayaking. Other hobbies include woodworking, ceramics, and chair restoration.

My first time going to see Brian and am absolutely impressed. He was very knowledgeable, knew exactly what I was explaining and a course of action to take, and explained every step and what could cause the pain. I've had extensive surgery on both feet in another state. The recovery from the last one has been very long and complicated it seems. I had wondered if the previous doctor did more work than was necessary. Dr. Hochman was very clear that the foot was looking good and the surgeon did the things he should to fix it. I merely need more strengthening physical therapy and then we will have custom orthotics made. He also let me know that my medicare would not cover the orthotics so I have several months to make certain i have the funds.

Dr. H was awesome to talk with, he shared cool stories about his past and kept the patient (my son) entertained. Although we were there for an ingrown toe nail removal and (shots) were involved we are happy with our visit and would definitely go back and recommend this office to friends and family.

First, Brenda at the front desk is the sweetest, most helpful person I have dealt with in a long time at a doctor's office. Dr. Hochman was super to work. He listened to my strange symptoms, and he quickly diagnosed me, telling me exactly what my problem was and what I could do about it. Words cannot express what a FANTASTIC doc Brian Hochman is!! So thoughtful, so communicative, so unrushed and a great listener. I went for an ingrown nail and had one once before and it was a horrific experience having it removed. He promised me he wouldn’t hurt me and he was true to his word! I want to shout from the rooftops how much I enjoyed my care from this doc!!

This is my first time seeing this doctor, and my first time booking with ZocDoc. Services I received from both parties were excellent. The receptionists at the facility were so kind and friendly. The doctor himself was very kind as well. He took the time to personally do my x-rays and even showed me how to work that fancy little boot that’s keeping me out of a full blown cast. My overall experience was excellent and I have zero complaints. I would definitely recomendé this office and doctor for all of your foot/ankle needs!!
