His medical student did the entire appointment and recommended an incredibly extensive procedure without basic tests (he couldn’t even figure out how to pull the exam table out to examine my stomach) and his medical student did not seem to understand basic birth control (questions asked for stomach pain. He didn’t understand the difference between hormone / non hormone IUD). I assumed that Dr Liem would come in and confirm findings (ie by feeling my stomach, asking me questions) but he did absolutely none of this. Just said - see you at the procedure. Very disappointed in the care and getting a second opinion elsewhere where a doctor (not medical student) will examine me .

I have to say It was like a Breath of fresh air seeing Dr. Liem. I came to see him for a second opinion about a procedure I had done three weeks ago with a different G.I. doctor. I was disappointed with my previous visit at the other doctor because I didn’t get my questions answered hence the reason why I came to see Dr. Liam. He put my mind at ease! He was so thorough and really listened to what I had to say and yes he did answer all my concerns. All the staff was truly amazing from the girls up front that checked me in to the medical assistant that took me back into the room. Just overall a pleasant experience at his office. He is definitely a keeper in my books!

I was very impressed with Dr. Liem and his staff, his follow-up and determination to find out exactly what was wrong with me. I also worked closely with Judy Rey one of his NP's and can not say enough about the GI office at Gottlieb in Melrose Park. I had been at Loyola Maywood for many years with a GI Doctor who is now at the V.A. but the transition to Gottlieb was really not a problem! Thank you.
