Dr. Wnorowski is a New Jersey native. He is originally from North Brunswick and spent his summers in Normandy Beach. Dr. Wnorowski attended Rutgers College in New Brunswick and received his medical degree from UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School in Newark. Upon graduation he received an award for being among the top five students in the graduating class.
Dr. Wnorowski completed an internship at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ and a three year Ophthalmology residency including one year as chief resident at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. In 1993, he returned to the Jersey shore to practice Ophthalmology and opened his own practice in 1995.
Dr. Wnorowski is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, having passed his board certification exam in the top two percent of the country. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, AOA (the National Medical Honor Society) and a Diplomat of the American Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Wnorowski specializes in cataract surgery having done over 8,000 implant operations. He feels strongly that the new presbyopia correcting implants are an excellent option for many patients but it is critical to match each individual with the proper implant. Dr. Wnorowski was the first surgeon in Monmouth and Ocean counties to successfully implant all three of the new implants and is continually striving to offer you the newest and best technologies available.
Dr. Wnorowski resides in Wall Township with his wife Kathleen and family. Dr. Wnorowski is a past President of the Toms River Lions Club, assisting in raising money for the visually and hearing impaired. Dr. Wnorowski was elected by his peers to serve as president of The New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology in 2008.
