She is a Doctor of Nursing Student at Walden University For over 7 years, Bridget has cared for adolescent and adult patients in a variety of settings, including in-patient hospitals such as The Hospital for Sick Children in DC, Worked at the adolescent/adult unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital DC, and the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). Bridget has also served in community group homes and outpatient practices. She has dedicated much of her nursing career to working with individuals with neurological concerns, which was inspired prior to attending nursing school. “I felt a great connection working with the children at The Hospital for Sick Children and those in the adolescent unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital. I still remain connected to that organization today. Those experiences are the foundation of my career path.” Nurse Practitioner Bridget specializes in behavioral health and treating children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex behavioral conditions. In addition, she is a preceptor in the Graduate School of Mental Health-Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program at Walden University. As both a clinical practitioner and preceptor, she has gained extensive experience delivering telehealth services to patients and educating nurse practitioners on using telehealth to improve access to care.
