5 stars across the board - what a wonderful woman and doctor. I am so grateful I found her. After speaking with over 20 psychiatrists looking for help with a very specific situation, I cannot explain the peace of mind I felt after speaking with her the first time. She is extremely intelligent, well educated, has a wonderful sense of smart humor, and to my delight is also a classically trained ballerina like me! Her feedback was insightful and helpful and am looking forward to working with her further. What a God send she has been for me this week. I am very appreciative.

Dr. Brooke Barton is a thorough, warm psychiatrist treating patients in Santa Monica and Santa Clarita, California, and the surrounding communities. Her goal as a practitioner is to help her patients live in a happier, healthier way. She holds certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
In order to pursue her doctoral degree, Dr. Barton attended Columbia University. She continued her medical education at the University of California, Los Angeles. Here, she completed an internship in general medicine and received residency training in psychiatry.

I called the doctor to let her know I was running 5-10 minutes late and she didn’t answer so, I left a voicemail. When I arrived she did not open the door for another 15 minutes and immediately told me she needs to end our session on time (even though she was late as well). Did I mention that she showed up in a nightgown and brought her dog to the appointment?! Yes, that happened too. I had made a follow up appointment with her and tried to reschedule, but her answering machines were both full. I sent several text messages in an effort to reschedule, and she did not even bother responding to me there either. On the day of the appointment she never called to follow up and see if I was ok or to see if I was coming to meet with her. This doctor is on planet mars!!!!!!!!!

I've only had one visit, so it's hard to assess in the short time, but I will say she seemed very professional and given a very complicated story, she seemed to be following quite well... Hoping to establish something in my second visit(problem, cause, solution...)
Also, a little pricy but I suppose if she's good enough it's worth it with insurance!

I came to Dr. Barton through a psychologist's referral- I was suffering from an acute episode of panic disorder. It was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. Dr. Barton allayed my fears right away and gave me hope that she could fix this disorder. Within a short time between meds and talk therapy I felt 1000% better. I still call on Dr. Barton as needed to this day.
