Doctor Kletscher is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a Minnesota native. He graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from St. Cloud State University. He attended medical school at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation in 1991, he was honored with the school’s Medical Student Achievement Award. He performed his Urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his residency in 1997 at which time he was the recipient of the program’s Pfizer Scholar in Urology Award. He has been in practice with Urology Associates since 1997.
Dr. Kletscher has special interest in the management of kidney stone disease, the use of lasers in urologic surgery and in prostate cancer. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Kidney Stone Treatment Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Kletscher is the Chief of Urology at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. The Urology Program at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center was recently recognized by the U.S. News and World Report magazine as one of the 50 best urology programs in the United States and the only urology program with such recognition in Arizona. Dr. Kletscher has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by the Phoenix Magazine in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Dr. Kletscher enjoys spending his spare time with family. He has been a member of the Board of Elders at his church for the last six years. He has also spent 10 years as a volunteer youth soccer coach and team manager for a local youth soccer club.
