He specializes in the arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatment of various injuries to the shoulder, knee, and elbow, in addition to cartilage disorders. Dr.Cranford completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at The College of Charleston while on scholarship, graduating summa cum laude. He attended medical school at Northwestern University where he completed his medical degree and graduated with honors and election into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. He completed an internship and residency at Northwestern University in Chicago in orthopedic surgery, working with the physicians for the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. While in training, he was involved with athletic coverage of various Chicago area public schools. After residency, Dr. Cranford did a fellowship in Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA. While there, he was assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics, Northeastern University, Tufts University, and Harvard University. Dr. Cranford has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery in Phoenix since 2007. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and knee, joint replacement, and orthopedic trauma.
