About Dr. James Lendrum
Dr. Lendrum is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in foot and ankle and lower extremity surgery. Before joining Advanced Orthopedics of Arcadia, he served as a Foot and Ankle Fellow at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Lendrum brings a wealth of orthopedic knowledge and experience from residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center where he cared for patients at three separate level 1 trauma centers. He earned his Medical Doctorate and Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona and was magna cum laude from the University of Southern California. He also has contributed substantially to the medical literature having been published in numerous peer-reviewed scientific journals and having presented his research at national meetings such as the AAOS, AOFAS, and AAHKS. His research interests include sport injuries of the foot and ankle, joint replacement, and population health.
Dr. Lendrum’s surgical expertise includes complex reconstruction of the foot and ankle, ankle arthroscopy, athletic injuries of the foot and ankle, lower extremity fracture care, and limb salvage. He has extensive experience with minimally invasive techniques for the forefoot, midfoot and hindfoot, including bunion correction. Having trained under some of the most renowned ankle replacement specialists in Charlotte, he has extensive experience with primary and revision ankle replacement surgery.
Beyond his medical career, Dr. Lendrum is a distinguished athlete, having competed in both the 2008 and 2012 U.S. Swimming Olympic Team Trials, and was captain of the swimming & diving team for two seasons at USC. His leadership and scholarly achievements, combined with his commitment to patient care, make Dr. Lendrum a notable figure in the orthopedic community.

Great experience overall! I was able to get an appointment quickly and the office was quick to reach out to fill in gaps in the paperwork submitted thru Zocdoc. They clarified my concerns and that I would need imaging elsewhere prior to the appointment and they also quickly sent me that referral form to be able to have it done the same day prior to the appointment. I was seen right on time for my appointment and Dr. Lendrum had already reviewed my concerns and imaging so the exam was focused and I have a straightforward follow-up plan. Everyone was kind, patient, and helpful.

Absolutely great. He listened to me, took me seriously, and didn't try to sell me anything and instead just told me to buy the brace I needed off Amazon. I was also very impressed with the mobile x-ray machine that allowed him to get instant images; he has very good and up-to-date technology. Definitely recommend!
