Cara was awesome! She took the time to get to know me and establish a connection. She was thorough, engaging, and knowledgeable. The appointment was not rushed at all and we covered absolutely all my medical history and nutritional habits. I had an amazing experience and look forward to working with her on my nutrition journey. Absolutely recommended!

I am not sure what to think about this dietician. She was very sweet and polite but not too knowledgeable. I was diagnosed with intestinal metaplasia and she didn’t know what that was or what food I wasn’t allowed to eat (like high fiber foods etc) I will be looking elsewhere.

Cara is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and New York State Certified Dietitian Nutritionist. She holds a Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University and completed her clinical training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Before joining the Nutrition Energy team, Cara was a Senior Nutritionist at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Center in Manhattan and also worked for Novartis Pharmaceuticals in both the Nutrition and Sales Divisions. Cara has created and delivered nutrition lunch-and-learns and presentations for both corporate and clinical settings.
Cara offers practical nutritional guidance and specializes in creating individualized plans for each of her clients. She prides herself on developing creative, simple, healthy and exciting meal ideas and recipes that meet her clients specific lifestyle and nutritional needs. Cara utilizes her extensive clinical nutrition background and knowledge combined with real life practical tricks to help her clients make lasting lifestyle changes. Cara’s expertise includes weight management, cardiovascular disease, diabetes management and digestive disorders.
As a mom of three young children, Cara understands the importance and emotional challenges of providing balanced nutrition. She has a particular interest in children with special needs. Cara has clinical and personal experience with pediatric gastrointestinal disorders, autism and selective eating. I had a appointment with her two months ago and she was really dismissive and like everyone else he has said doesn’t seem to know what she’s talking about i.e. not very knowledgeable for a nutritionist and didn’t know any good recommendations. I asked her specific questions about my existing dietary conditions and she kept saying I don’t know and I’m not a doctor so why am I paying her for nutritional advice!
