Dr. Suzuki was born in Pasadena, California and spent most of her childhood in Amherst, Massachusetts. She earned dual bachelor's degrees in Microbiology/Immunology and Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley and a Masters of Public Health in the area of Maternal and Child Health from UCLA. in 1996, she obtained her medical doctorate from the University of California at Davis, and in 2000 completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Suzuki entered private practice in September 2000 and has been board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2002.
Dr. Suzuki feels privileged to have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of women through all the stages of their lives. She has a strong commitment to helping her patients make choices that are appropriate to their needs and consistent with their desires. To achieve this she feels it is important to understand each patient as an individual and seeks to have patients be active participants in their care.
In her free time, you might find her at the Portland Farmer's Market or at various children's activities around town with her son and daughter. She is forever grateful for the wonderful (and often challenging) lessons she has learned as a parent, which she utilizes daily in her practice. She loves food to a fault and is fond of running, hiking, swimming, salsa dancing and cooking. She has also been known to dabble in piano and knitting.
Dr. Suzuki happily continues to see her established patients --and is also welcoming new patients at this time.

Dr. Suzuki & staff are professional, friendly and welcoming as a new patient. Doctor made me feel very comfortable- she is compassionate and took time to get to know me. I feel fortunate to have found a wonderful OBGYN upon moving to Portland.
