Dr. Garner has built one of the largest endocrine surgical practices in north Texas. Since completing her fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2007, she has performed more than five thousand thyroid and parathyroid operations in Denton and surrounding areas.
Her special interests include thyroid cancer surgery and surgical management of patients with Hashimotos thyroiditis. She offers complete office consultations that include in office ultrasounds and fine needle aspirations of thyroid nodules and lymph nodes. She has strong partnerships with both conventional pathologists as well as Afirma Thyroid FNA analysis to provide timely, accurate diagnosis. She is proud to have recreated the tertiary care university experience for endocrine patients outside of the metroplex. Patients have traveled from out of state to take advantage of her down to earth explanations coupled with excellent surgical care.
Dr. Garner graduated magna cum laude with University and Foundation Honors from Texas A&M with a degree in microbiology. She went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed both her general surgery residency as well as endocrine surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
