Born in Harlingen, Texas in 1946, Cary Tanamachi, MD, has served the Mesquite and surrounding area as a general orthopedic surgeon for more than 38 years.
His practice includes acute and chronic orthopedic care, sports medicine and arthroscopy, joint replacements and reconstruction.
Dr. Tanamachi is certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and has been since 1977. He earned his medical degree from the University Medical School at San Antonio. He completed an internship at Baylor University in Dallas and his residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
He also completed a fellowship at Kontonspital Hospital in Basel, Switzerland.
Dr. Tanamachi is active in the community, serving as school board trustee for the Mesquite Independent School District for the last 38 years.
