Catherine Sinclair, MD, FRACS is a Head and Neck Surgeon and Laryngologist subspecializing in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck oncological surgery and laryngology. She is dual fellowship trained in both Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery / Endocrine Surgery (University of Alabama at Birmingham 2010/2011) and Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing (New York Center for Voice and Swallowing 2011/2012). Prior to her dual fellowships, she completed a five year Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency. Dr. Sinclair is the Director of the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at Mt. Sinai West and an Attending Surgeon at Mt. Sinai Cancer Centers of New York. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr Sinclair is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Head and Neck Society (AHNS), American Thyroid Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Dr Sinclair currently serves on a number of national committees including the AHNS Endocrine Section, AHNS Women in Surgery Committee and AACE Endocrine Surgery Scientific Committee. She specializes in managing surgical conditions of the thyroid and parathyroid glands. Additional interests include squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck region, benign and malignant tumors of salivary glands and voice disorders, particularly vocal fold paralysis and paresis. She has published widely in the field of head and neck oncology and endocrine surgery with numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and book chapters. In addition, she has been invited to sit on a number of endocrine surgery panels at various international meetings, most recently at the 9th International Conf.
