Dr. Donlea is a licensed optometrist and a member of the Illinois and American Optometric Associations. Dr. Donlea completed his undergraduate work at Drake University and received his optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, where he ranked in the top 10% of his class and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society. He completed clinical rotations and internships at the Illinois Eye Institute, the Naval Hospital and Great Lakes Naval Base and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Donlea has a special interest in treating ocular surface disease (Dry Eye Syndrome), as well as fitting custom contact lenses for keratoconus and corneal transplant patients. Dr. Donlea is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy, a treatment to reduce or eliminate glasses through the use of therapeutic, overnight contact lenses. Dr. Donlea also performs routine eye examinations for teens and adults.
Dr. Donlea and his wife Amy have two children. He enjoys golf and fishing.
