Dr. Drey is a graduate of the University of Iowa and earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. He has a post- doctorate residency certification in primary care and ocular disease from the Illinois College of Optometry/Illinois Eye Institute. Dr. Drey's special interests include: contact lenses/primary eye-care, glaucoma, uveitis, and diabetic eye-care. Dr. Drey earned his Fellowship for the American Academy of Optometry in 2012. He is an active member of the Illinois Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Drey opened Franklin Eye Care in 2017 to continue serving patients in downtown Chicago. He lives in the northside of the city with his wife Michelle and daughters Emerson and Avery.
