It was great!
Dr. Kimmelman made me very comfortable and welcomed; I knew I had chosen the right doctor which gave me peace of mind.
Today was my first visit and walking out of his office, I felt like I been an old patient of his.

Dr. Kimmelman is a wonderful, caring doctor. He spent a lot of time conversing with me about my health history as well as explaining what I could and could not expect in terms of recovery. Way more time than the typical doctor would spend these days. Everything he said and recommended was right on. And, he even called me a couple of weeks later to see how I was doing. My only very slight concern is that he asked me a few of the same questions twice or more during the course of the visit. I'm definitely going to continue with him, and am going to hope that the latter issue was just an anomaly.
With his broad experience in medical research and clinical practice, Dr. Charles Kimmelman has devoted his career to creating and using innovative medical and surgical methods for the care and wellness of the ear, nose, throat and related parts of the head and neck. He has been especially recognized for his contributions to Nasal and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Snoring and Sleep Apnea, and Smell and Taste Disorders. Dr. Kimmelman is a pioneer in the use of the Pillar Procedure, the first FDA-approved implantable treatment for sleep apnea and snoring, and he has performed over four thousand Pillar implants to date. Additionally, Dr. Kimmelman conceptualized, developed and brought to market a novel medical device, Sepragel Sinus, which facilitates healing and reduces scaring related to nasal and sinus surgery.
After receiving his M.D. with honors from Temple University, Dr. Kimmelman completed post-graduate medical training at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine and remained on the faculty for over 10 years before relocating to New York City, where he also earned a masters degree in business administration from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Triological Society, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Kimmelman has served as Chief of Smell and Taste Disorders at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Cornell University's Weill Medical College. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he was a charter member of the first Smell and Taste Research Center funded by the National Institutes of Health. He has also served as Departmental Chairman at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and New York Medical College.

The most negative experience I have had in a while... He might be an experienced doctor. But it is important to be professional in not only diagnosing but talking to patents too (without discriminating based on their background!!!)
Some of the things he said to me during the visit were inappropriate. I felt incredibly upset for hours after the visit... Long story short: He noticed a little scar in my ear and said: "It is probably because you grew up in Russia and were treated by Russian doctors". (I am Russian and yes grew up in Russia). What is that supposed to mean?! That the doctors that I saw in Russia are so incompetent that they decided: hmm let us give her a scar... Or let's not treat her ear infection so that it leaves a scar...
I was startled and shocked and didn't know what to say to that. Now that I am thinking about it what I should have done is I should have gotten up and left that office. Saying such things is inappropriate and unprofessional. And disrespectful. And insulting.
FYI.
1) If i live in the US that doesn't mean that I don't love my country and will put up with statements like that.
2) Doctors' competence does not depend on the country they are coming from.
3) Both of my parents are doctors. My father is a surgeon and my mom is a radiologist. They are both brilliant, highly educated and talented.
I would MUCH rather go to see a Russian doctor than going back to Charles Kimmelman, MD.

I loved my visit to Dr. Kimmelman. I am not a big fan of seeing doctors. He was supportive, knowledgeable and made the visit plesant.
It was a quick in and out of his office. He was thorough in his diagnosis and explicit in explaning what he is doing. He was professional and addressed my questions. I highly recommend him.

This was my first time to see Dr. Kimmelman. I had pretty severe congestion and Dr. Kimmelman took a sample to see what was causing the problem. Although the test wasn't conclusive, he did call to give me the results and prescribed me a medication that seemed to do the trick and I can breathe again! He's pretty laid back and very nice as well.

I was taken immediately for a 9 am appointment and was on my way out the door with coat on at 9:20 am. Dr. Kimmelman was knowledgeable, thorough and took care of my problem immediately. I was impressed with his chairside manner and would highly recommend. I'm sending my husband to see him next.

Eh he was just okay, talking to me like i'm 12 years old about mammals. After the examination, up my nose and down my throat (which he numbed me with a nasal spray) I'm probably snoring because I'm getting old he says, and quick to want to do surgery. I told him I will never do surgery no matter how many times my girlfriend wakes me up because I'm snoring. I'm still waiting for a watch I'm supposed to wear for weeks now to monitor my snoring and sleep patterns. Not impressed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kimmelman's since 1991. Dr. Kimmelman is a superlative physician who truly cares about his patients and takes the time to address complicated issues when necessary. He has a wonderful chairside manner and an impressive state of the art office.

Dr. Kimmelman was fantastic. He made me feel so at ease. He explained everything he was doing before doing anything, he even gave me anatomy lessons. He was so warm and extremely funny. After performing his examinations, he explained everything in such a way that anyone would understand what he was talking about. He is quite intelligent and his knowledge in ENT is superb, i am so glad I found him and I will definitely keep using him for all my ENT needs. He is absolutely the best!
