Cherie Albro, Nurse Practitioner, brings years of skincare experience and a passion for treating the whole patient to extend our team. Cherie has a vast knowledge of skin care products and exemplifies the mission of Pure Dermatology to use an individualized approach when choosing each patient’s skincare. Cherie directs and performs several treatment modalities offered at Pure Dermatology including Secret RF microneedling, microneedling, acne surgery, photodynamic therapy, and chemical peels to help patients achieve their best skin health. Cherie excels in medical dermatology and treats all skin conditions and ages at Pure Dermatology. She has a passion for treating acne-prone skin.
Cherie M. Albro is a native Louisianan who grew up in and around Donaldsonville. She graduated from Ascension Catholic High School in the top 5% of her class. She attained her BS in biology from Loyola University New Orleans with a scholarship from Freeport-McMoran. After having her first child, she left her 14-year cosmetic job and decided to go to nursing school. She obtained her AD in Nursing from Charity School of Nursing – Delgado Community College where she received the Award of Distinction for Character, Nursing Ability, Leadership, Participation, and Positive Influence. She then obtained her BS in Nursing and subsequently her Master in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, both from Louisiana State University School of Nursing, where she was inducted to Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and again served on the Student Government Association, and served as Class President. Cherie was awarded her certification as a nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Cherie is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners where she actively participates in educational seminars.
