Dr. Cheryl D. Wolfe is the Founder, President and CEO of Chicago Women’s Healthcare, which opened in 2002. A Chicago Native, Dr. Wolfe attended DePaul University and Chicago Medical School, and completed her residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Wolfe serves on several hospital committees and was named Chair of Mercy’s OB/GYN department in June, 2010. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Women Today/Maria Shelter, and is Chairman of the Council on Education and Health Workforce for the Illinois State Medical Society. Dr. Wolfe is moderately fluent in medical Spanish and believes the best thing about Chicago Women’s Healthcare is the cohesive unit the team has formed, which allows everyone to provide excellent care to the patients. Her areas of special interest and research are: minimally invasive surgery - including that done with the da Vinci Robot® - sexual dysfunction; menopause, hysteroscopy, and alternative treatments for uterine fibroids. Dr. Wolfe is board certified and a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Wolfe has been happily married for 25 years and has two wonderful sons.
When she’s relaxing, you’ll often find her cheerfully engaged in her other passion – cooking; if you’re lucky, you’ll get to taste some of her famous rolls or fruit cobbler. Dr. Wolfe has a great sense of humor, loves nature and enjoys a wide variety of music. Other hobbies include reading historical fiction and non-fiction on her Kindle, watching Top Chef or The Good Wife on TV and a recent passion for participating in 5K marathons. Her favorite movies include My Cousin Vinnie, Despicable Me, The Incredibles, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Sense and Sensibility, The Bourne Identity and LadyHawke.
