Dr. Chirag Vasa finished his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, (Brooklyn/Queens-affiliated New York Medical College). He subsequently started clinical practice in Infectious Diseases, Travel Medicine and HIV medicine in Queens County. He is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens, New York Hospital of Queens and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Vasa finished his medical school and residency in Internal Medicine with Tropical Diseases in India. His extensive medical experience in that tropical country has given him expertise with infectious tropical diseases and travel medicine. Dr. Vasa is an active lecturer and has directed overseas courses for primary care physicians to obtain continuing medical education credits on topics in Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine.

Sad when a doctor blames your uterus for everything. Not sure why the great revues exist. Why don’t doctors believe you when you say you have a problem? What is this?!! Why not investigate?!? Ask us questions!!?! Give us the benefit of the doubt. He offered 0 solutions to ongoing issues and I had to beg for a referral for an issue discovered by another doctor. I’m moving on ASAP.

I took my day off. I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room, then the secretary ask me to wait inside into the Doctor office while Doctor remain in the adjacent office for 10 minutes.( While I waited I could not avoid hearing the doctor throat making disgusting sounds) Then the doctor came in, and ask me the same 4 typical questions I already answered in the form given by the secretary. After 4 minutes he told me I look fine, that I am fine. I said I'm here for my annual check, he then provide me paperwork to go somewhere else to check for my blood and to come back to discuss the results. Im 45 and I asked if it was time to check my prostate. He said I check your prostate next time. I guess I will never come back.
Coming from a family of Doctors I found this practice very disconnected from what I understand a Doctor should be.

I was charged specialist prices, despite having confirmed in advance that it was a primary care consultation. The only thing he checked on me was my throat, which he used the light of his iphone for. Sent me elsewhere to get the actual tests I was seeking performed. Was quick to prescribe antibiotics without understanding my situation. He was friendly.
