Dr. Christian Halvorson is a board-certified dermatologist who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he graduated magna cum laude. In medical school he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Eugene Bereston Award for excellence in dermatology. He completed his internship at Mercy Medical Center and three years of dermatology training in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland, where he served as chief resident his final year. His interests in dermatology include the evaluation and management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, complex medical dermatology, and evolving uses of laser technology in dermatology. In his free time he enjoys writing and performing music, learning to play new instruments, and woodworking. He lives with his wife and two children in Howard County. Dr. Halvorson is currently accepting Medicare patients.
