You could pick at all the little things that were wrong with operations but that is pointless because as soon as I saw Dr. Shamas she was extremely thorough. She seemed genuinely concerned about my health and the health of my baby. She was friendly but no fluff and that's the way it needs to be. I cannot speak for the other doctors on staff but Dr. Shamas is wonderful and very knowledgeable.

Dr Shamas is a huge USF and Bucs fan. She also played soccer for 23 years. She is loved by all our her patients because of how friendly, outgoing, and caring she is.

Quickly got in and out which was very pleasing. However she wasn't very comforting, she's all business. Previous doctors I have had are much more personable, which makes the awkward visit to the gyno a bit easier. She was not personable at all. Very closed off.

Overall, I found this experience to be very positive. Dr. Shamas is personable and warm. I appreciate the time she takes with her introduction and getting to know me. She was easy to converse with and I felt very comfortable with her.
What I don't care so much for is the need to have a nurse present during the examination, and one of the (many) reasons I have preferred a woman doctor for many years now. This is the first time I've had to deal with that with a female OB/GYN.

An emergency came up but it was totally fine. I've already recommended a few friends to Dr Shamas because she is amazing. Best doctor visit I've ever had regardless of the wait. Thank you!

Dr. Shamas seemed extremely rushed during my appointment with her. As a first time mother-to-be, I was very nervous about the appointment and was unsure as to what exactly needed to change in my life now that I was caring for two. Dr. Shamas made no effort to ease my mind or give any helpful information about what I had to look forward to over the next nine months rather than the information that is readily available on Google. While having my blood drawn, the doctor came in and told the nurse drawing my blood that the remainder of her appointments for the day would need to be rushed because she had to pick up her son from school.
Extremely unprofessional and uncaring in every possible respect. From the front desk to the desk of Dr. Shamas herself, I felt like nothing more than a patient number and an insurance claim. I never went back after my first appointment and I strongly advise others to not even attempt the first appointment. What should have been a beautiful day for my spouse and I left us both stressed out and miserable.

Dr. Shamas took the time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. She was update to date on medical changes regarding my age. A professional who made me feel comfortable during my appointment (I don't like going to the doctors).

I wouldn't recommend her. She barely asked me any questions, did not listen to my lungs or heart, did not want to answer medical questions unrelated to my pelvic exam. Her staff didn't introduce themselves or tell me what they were doing before they did it. She did not seem confident in her own knowledge.

I'm one of those who do not like going to the doctors especially when I have trouble finding a doc that is not a condescending know-it-all.
However, I have found the needle in a haystack with this one...FINALLY!?????
This is my third year in a row going to Dr. Samas. She is really nice and very caring to your needs. I'll be seeing her again next year!?????

The physician was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I came in with results from another physician / lab that were questionable. Dr Shamas re-ran my test to insure I get accurate results that could possibly affect my future health. Nursing staff along with front office staff were also very friendly and helpful. I will highly recommend Dr Shamas and her staff to others.

It was a long wait, but, after meeting with Dr. Shamas, it was TOTALLY worth it. She was very thorough, and she listened, she took a lot of time with me. I felt immediately that she wanted to get to the root of whatever my condition is. I have complete faith in Dr. Shamas!

The office seems dirty. There was trash in the waiting room and visible debris on the floors. Needs a scrub-down and clean furniture. Exam room had large window that views the Jimmy John's sidewalk cafe. The exam room's ineffective, old horizontal blinds made me feel uncomfortable since there were patrons at the table and I had to undress for the exam. If the office environment was cleaner looking and exam rooms were more private/had better blinds, I'd definitely recommend to friends. Doctor is very thorough and very friendly. Friendly staff.

Dr. Shamas answered all of our questions and was very thorough. She explained what we should expect in the upcoming months, and we left our appointment reassured that we were in good hands and even more excited about our baby on the way!

I drove an hour away from my house to see Dr. Shamas because she was the only female Gyno that had an appointment open when I was available to make it. When I got to the office, it was dirty, and the wait to get in to see the Dr. over an hour! The staff was welcoming and very friendly. But Dr. Shamas is pretty passive aggressive when she talks to you. She candy coats her insults with a smile on her face. She told me my test results would be in the next day. Never got a call, and now its the weekend. Hopefully they'll call me on Monday.

She was nice but the wait was ridiculous. I had a 10am appointment but didn't get seen for the basic assessment (height weight etc) until 10:46 then after that I had to go back to the waiting area for 22mins before I got called back to meet the doctor. I sat in her office 7minutes before she came. She did a review of the information I filled out then the actual examination took 4mins.then when I went to the checkout desk the woman didn't even acknowledge that I was there. When she finally did she just said have a nice day.when I asked about results she seemed annoyed that I was asking. The service here is horrible. If you schedule an appointment here be prepared to wait.
