I was grateful the doctor had availability the day that she did and saw a new patient who did not have plans of returning (because I don’t live in the country) but with all that said I requested an annual Pap and was told it wouldn’t be wise because I had one done 10 months ago and they would like to spread them out three years apart -which I told her I don’t trust but still she urged not to conduct a Pap. That wasn’t a huge deal so we moved on with the appointment. I was told by her nurse she would do bloodwork according to what I asked her to test and that she would do breast check but as soon as she determined she wasn’t going to do the Pap I felt rushed out of her office; a couple of deep breaths, a couple of reflex checks and I was out the door. She did not do the breast check (for reasons unknown, maybe she just forgot - I know I did but I’m not the doctor) and she said she would follow up with me within a week with my blood results but that didn’t happen. I followed up with them two weeks later and left a voicemail. They did call me back the same day but when I asked the young lady if everything was fine she said yeah no red flags. I wasn’t happy with that response; I wanted specifics so I asked if she could read through all of the tests. She said well the only red flag (ok, wait I thought there weren’t any red flags) was a vitamin deficiency. Again, I wasn’t satisfied and kept prying. “How was my cholesterol?” Her: “Well normal is below 199. You’re at 201 but nothing to be concerned about.” In my opinion that’s not up to her to decide. This is why I kept pushing for individual test result but she did not make me feel confident that they had even ordered the tests that I requested because she didn’t give any more specific results. I gave 2 stars because I wouldn’t recommend anyone I care for to come here and have to push so hard to feel like they and their results matter. Transparency and following up are pretty basic things to expect when dealing with a doctor.... in my opinion.

I was searching for a new Family Doctor, and Dr. Kolp came highly recommended by friends and co-workers. I have to say, after the first visit, I'm pleased. She was thorough, listened well and seems very knowledgeable. The office staff seems top-notch, also. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

again, you will not find a more knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate doctor in this area. i am 56, so i have had my fair share of family physicians. i had to switch doctors last nov due to an insurance change. i was very intimidated by the prospect of having to replace a physician i had been with for over 15 years. i did my due diligence and discovered that doctor kolp has her office near my home. i made an appointment, and i was very grateful to have found a physician of her caliber. she is a credit to the medical community and our community.

I needed a new doctor and found Dr. Zarate Kolp through my insurance provider's website. I wasn't sure what to expect, but am SO GLAD that I chose Dr. Zarate Kolp!! She spent half an hour with me, listened to what I had to say, and seemed genuinely interested in my long term health goals. Plus the office staff there were all very friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend this doc and her office high enough.

dr. kolp has encyclopedic understanding of all of my health issues. she is thoroughly knowledgeable about current medications and drug interactions. i always feel like i am being given world class care whenever i am in her office. i am fortunate to have her as my primary care physician.
