Dr. Stanko has been practicing dermatology in Bryn Mawr, P.A. since 2003. She is dedicated to excellence in comprehensive dermatological care. Dr. Stanko specializes in laser therapy, cosmetic techniques and skin cancer surgery. She pursues the most advanced techniques and procedures, implementing the latest and most effective skin treatments for her patients.
Dr. Stanko acquired her M.D. with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska, where she became a member of the National Medical Honor Society Alpha Omega Alpha. She served as Chief Resident in her last year of residency at Drexel University Dept. of Dermatology, where she is now an Assistant Clinical Professor.

As always, the office ambiance is immaculate, the office staff are well mannered and very cultured . Dr. Stanko and her clinical staff are the best in the industry. I will highly recommend the dermatology group to every one who may want an opinion, as assessment and or a professional dermatological management to consult Dr. Christine Stanko and her Team , first before you waste anymore precious time searching for the best dermatologist in PA.
My best advise......Don't see another Dermatologist without making your first call to Dr. Stanko!

Dr. Stanko filled in for Dr. Santa for my daughter's latest visit. She (Dr. Stanko) did not seem to be "present" at the appointment or even seem to care to be there - gave off the impression that she had no idea why my daughter was there (my daughter is currently in her 6th month on Accutane - this was a check up visit). So not impressed. Dr. Santa and another woman (I can't remember her name) who treated my daughter in the past during her Accutane treatment had terrific "bedside" manner and seemed very knowledgeable.

I agree with many of the other reviewers that Dr. Stanko's nurses and front office staff were very pleasant and very professional but that Dr. Stanko herself was unimpressive. Perhaps it was her lack of any emotion whatsoever or lack of concern as a doctor but her demeanor was very off-putting, almost offensive. Neither her verbal nor nonverbal communication suggested that she had any interest in seeing me or trying to do a thorough job in understanding my dermatological problems. She was in a rush to get out and her body language suggested that I was a nuisance to her or perhaps not the right kind of patient. While the facility itself was beautiful (it looks like it's out of a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills set), it was clearly aimed more at cosmetic procedures than other dermatological problems and that's how I was made to feel. Just because I wasn't dressed up to go to the doctor and wasn't there to get fillers or injections, I got the feeling that I wasn't viewed as the "right" type of patient. Anyway, lesson learned! I'll go to a real dermatologist next time I have a non-Botox problem.

The front desk staff and nurse that brought me back were fantastic, as was the atmosphere. However, I felt like my annual skin cancer screening was very rushed, and Dr. Stanko seemed relatively disinterested in having a conversation or checking thoroughly. Though she seems like a great doctor, I left feeling very hesitant. I wish she would have taken the time to analyze my skin better!
