My goal is to provide competent, compassionate, and ethical psychiatric care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. I work with individuals and families to enhance quality of life by looking at various issues such as depression, anxieties, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, exercise, diet, sleep, spirituality, and religion.
I do not participate with any insurance companies or Medicare or Medicaid. All appointments are self-pay only. An initial evaluation starts at $560 for approxiamtely 2 hours, with an additional prorated cost if the evaluation exceeds that time. The fee for follow-up appointments of 53 minutes is $280. Any additional time will prorated at that $280 rate.

Dr Bir is wonderful. I have been his patient for years and I have seen a lot of success during that time. I have never had a doctor for as long as I’ve had Bir and I have no plans on going anywhere.

Dr. Bir is the best. He is the only psychiatrist I have ever had who really takes my concerns seriously. He has worked with me tirelessly to solve them, despite their intense complexity. They have certain requirements that push on the boundaries of what most physicians are willing to do for their patients. He may be the only physician I have ever met who will push on those boundaries, and take the risk if it’s in the patients best interest. I believe he does this because he both cares, and sees his patients as people, not a collection of clinical notes in a folder, and it makes him really happy when he sees improvements in patients lives due to something he was able to do or provide them with.
However, people also inevitably make mistakes, and Dr. Bir knows this, which is why he helps them get back on their feet in a forgiving and judgment-free way. He never gives up. I believe these all to be signs of an excellent doctor.
Thanks to Dr. Bir, I am doing better than ever in my classes!

I really enjoy my time with doctor Bir. I have/had severe anxiety and depression issues and chronic headaches that still need to be dealt with and obviously, as a psychiatrist, isn’t his area of expertise. Doctor Bir is able to instill enough trust in me since he’s been my primary and only provider for a little over a year now, so he is able to keep my headaches under control for as long as the oversight people notice it, but there is a valid diagnosis and I have tried every other medication. I really appreciate what he does for me. He goes above and beyond to make sure I’m doing okay. I am lucky that I was able to find doctor Bir. I so much prefer my life this year even though there is still work to be done.

In my 7 years of experience with a multitude of psychiatrists and treatment, I have never come across someone who approaches his field quite like Dr. Bir. He genuinely cares for his patients and any appointment I have had has lasted well over 2-3 hours with prompt follow-up’s scheduled in order to keep the conversation going. I can’t recommend getting in to see Dr.Bir enough- Although my treatment with him has just begun, the experience itself has been life changing. I have never felt compelled to write a review before, but my experience here has made me feel otherwise.

Such a nice doctor! And so thorough. I learned a lot from this visit and I feel like whatever is going on with me Dr. Bir will do whatever he can to figure it out. He made me feel like we were part of a team. I feel like he really does care a lot about his patients. I felt really respected and understood. And I liked that we were able to discuss the science behind and the reasons for different things. He really explains things very well and very thoroughly yet he's not at all arrogant like some doctors, just warm and down to earth.I look forward to seeing him again!

Dr Bir was kind and empathetic with my daughter and I. We were extremely impressed and put at ease with his consultation process. He spent much more time with us, trying to get to know my daughter than I would have expected. He really wanted to get to know her and what she needed help with. This was our first appointment but I couldn't be more impressed. Highly recommend.

I didn’t realize Dr. Bir had treated me a very, vey long time ago — in my darkest days. I wouldn’t have gone if I had known; but I’m so glad I did. Spending a few hours with him was more helpful than the last two years with my last doctor. He didn’t treat me differently because Of the past and he finally gave me what I’ve been searching for!! A plan of action to be healthy, properly medicated, and not scared of doing it. He really wants to help people get better and be there best selves, not just get a paycheck.

All I have to say is waow...I never write reviews but if you are looking for a doctor to actually listen to you, like listen to you and NOT judge you please see Dr. Bir. He took over 5 hours to listen to me on a Friday evening and no one has ever done such. In today’s hurry up practices, Dr. Bir is the complete opposite. After years of running around and being frustrated with a clock over my head, I feel I was finally truly listened. I’m honestly speechles

Hands down, best psychiatrist I've had. Talks to patient like an equal and is not scared to be honest. Does not sugar coat and cares deeply about his patients. As a member of the healthcare industry, we are looking for physicians with this kind of compassion. He helped me reduce my medication dose, and after taking extra numerous times, he worked with my father and I to give me the best opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you are sick of doctors spending ten minutes with you and just writing a prescription, Dr. Bir is who I would recommend. I plan on staying with him for the foreseeable future.

Comfortable and it takes a lot for me to trust, especially doctors whom I feel are mostly sales people these days. He's genuine and cares about his patients, doesn't push you to feel one way or another.

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Bir. My experience with psychiatrists has been a mixed bag. More often that not, they will see you for 15 minutes, prescribe medication, and send you on your way. This is completely opposite of Dr. Bir's style. He was interested in my life story and the nuances for who I am as a person. Not only that he was extremely knowledgeable of treatments and medications and even moreso than most doctors I have encountered. I had to cut my session off early because of a previous conflict and was disappointed to do so because he was such a great and compassionate listener. I never, not once, felt rushed by him or like he didn't care. He was genuinely engaged in learning about me as a patient and sincerely interested in finding the best treatment for me. I cannot recommend him enough.

He seems a lot more engaged than most psychiatrists I've seen. Seems to integrate some talk therapy with medication consultation, which is rare. It's a shame that I can't be a regular patient, as I won't be in this area for more than a few months. But I would be if I could.
