Getting to know Shenise Seabrook
Do you take time for your mental health care needs? You should never feel alone when it comes to getting mental health treatment. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Liberty University, specializing in providing individualistic and holistic mental health care with compassion. I diagnose and treat patients with anxiety, depression, sleep, and mood disorders while treating everyone with dignity and respect.
My goal as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is to help you discover what your mental health care needs are. Together, we will develop an individualized mental health care plan to help improve your life mentally and physically. This plan may include a non-pharmaceutical approach, medication, therapy, utilizing different resources to support treatment, and providing education on managing your mental health issues. What should a new client know about working with you?
As a patient, on your first session I would like a detailed history of your mental health and other medical problems. This helps me to get to know you better and to develop a safe plan of care for you. We will talk in detail about the mental health signs and symptoms that you are having and medications that you are taking now and in the past. We will also review your family medical history and mental health problems. I want you to feel comfortable talking about your mental health needs and to know that you have a voice with developing your plan of care.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
