Christopher J. Frandrup, MD, FIPP, DABAM, is a triple board-certified pain management physician treating patients in Aurora, Colorado, as medical director of Allpria Healthcare.
Dr. Frandrup graduated from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he majored in biology and minored in philosophy. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School’s Twin Cities campus in Minneapolis. Following medical school, he completed his internship at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, and his residency in anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Frandrup is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and is one of the few doctors in Colorado to possess this combination of expertise. He’s also an Interventional Pain Practice Fellow, as well as a member of the World Institute of Pain, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the Medical Group Management Association, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Frandrup has an unmatched level of empathy for his patients because he’s undergone his own recovery from chronic pain, a condition he developed during his service in the military. Using many of the same procedures he prescribes his patients, Dr. Frandrup managed to overcome his debilitating discomfort and restore his quality of life. This real-world experience allows him to understand his patients in ways that few other doctors can.
