More about Dr. Christopher Paul, MD
Christopher A. Paul, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and subsequently completed his residency in anesthesiology at Saint Louis University Hospital. During his residency, he was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year with the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Paul continued his education with a fellowship in regional anesthesia and acute pain at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he focused on the use of ultrasound-guided injections in the treatment of pain conditions. He then completed an additional fellowship in interventional chronic pain, also at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Paul is board-certified in anesthesiology as well as pain management through the American Board of Anesthesiology. He has recently served as Assistant Professor, Department of Anesthesiology for the University of Arkansas College of Medical Sciences, as well as Resident Rotation Director for Chronic Pain.
Originally, from Little Rock, Arkansas, his main interests include the use of interventional techniques to treat chronic pain, particularly the use of neuromodulation and the use of ultrasound in chronic pain practice. Dr. Paul practices in our Marietta and Rome locations.

I’ve had numerous RFA’s performed over the past 5 years and the versed injection given prior to the procedure was both inadequate and woefully insufficient. The pain of each needle without a localized anesthetic horrific.
