Dr. Chukwuka Mordi is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 40 years of clinical practice experience. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences and holds a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Molloy University. Dr. Mordi and his team provide patients of all ages and backgrounds with psychiatric evaluations, medication management/prescriptions, individual and group psychotherapy, and more.
Areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, autism, women’s issues, and gender dysphoria.
We accept most major insurances, except straight Medicaid. We also accept cash-paying patients. We are currently accepting new patients. Tele-psych sessions are available at this time, while in-person appointments are temporarily suspended.

Never responded to my communication or messages I left at their office. I don't have time to keep postponing or waiting in hopes to be seen by this therapist, finding someone else.

I tried Dr. Mordi after a change in insurance put me out of network with my previous physician.
He was perpetually late and attempted to diagnose me for conditions I have no history of after a 15 minute telephone assessment.
This practitioner is sketchy at best and should be taken with a grain of salt in any conclusions he meets.
Very much patient beware.

Made and appointment with the doctor for an evaluation and get a sign off for specific medical documents. After my appointment he promised the necessary paperwork would be completed within a week. I have now waited a whole month and it is impossible to contact him or his office to get my required documents. Seems like he is only interested in billing insurance and getting his own paycheck

A complete and utter waste of time. Twice in one week I had appointments scheduled after my initial visit, neither of which were honored. His office shows complete lack of respect for one’s time. He no called no showed the first appointment. Then he rescheduled the second appointment 5 minutes before it was scheduled to go on, for 6 hours later in the day. If that wasn’t bad enough, he did not call for the rescheduled meeting. I had to call and contact him, at which point i was told he’d call me back shortly. That call never came. 45 minutes later i had to contact their office, again, only to be placed on a 20 minute hold. It was not until I left an irate voicemail that I finally received a call back. I wouldn’t recommend him if he was the last psychiatrist on Earth.

Initial appointment was actually "intake" with a non-doctor. Actual appointment was scheduled for two weeks later. Wasn't added to zocdoc, so no record of it or way to contact them. They never confirmed. Then they were 35 minutes late to the zoom meeting. Did not have appointment because I had to be at work. Terrible communication.

Im not sure if it was a disconnect between ZocDoc and the provider or just a mishap on the part of the provider but I was not seen by anyone at my scheduled time. I showed up to my virtual appointment early and waited 10 minutes past only to realize I would not be seen by anyone. I called the telephone provided and no one answered.

My first appointment turned out to be only a consultation where I gave them the exact same information I already entered into ZocDoc. They took my reason for the appointment and stated the Doctor would call with my next appointment. That call never took place. I contacted the office and it turns out they had written my phone number down wrong (it is correct in ZocDoc as I get texts). I had a second consultation confirming my contact information. The Doctor did call via phone only at the prescribed time. He did a short review and stated I gave me dates and time that Medication Administration and Therapy would call as a follow-up. Kind of a long process but at least it's all remote. Not well explained on ZocDoc or during the consultation.
