Dr Cosme Gomez was born and raised in the Dominican Republic to a family of physicians going back four generations. An AED Honor Society graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he obtained his medical degree from the Pedro H Urena National University of Santo Domingo with high honors ( Magna Cum Laude), graduating at the top of his class. He completed a Urological Residency at the George Washington University, where he was inducted to AOA National Medical Honor Society, followed by a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. During his tenure as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University Of Miami Department of Urology, he received the Attending Physician of the Year Award, based upon nomination by his students and peers. He has served as Chief of Urology at Baptist and South Miami Hospitals, and is the founding partner of Urology Specialty Care, a single specialty group practice, committed to providing the highest level of urological services. He specializes in adult urology and urologic oncology, with special interest and expertise in the management of benign and malignant diseases of the prostate.

Large multi-physician practice seems like a urology factory: add those patients to the assembly line and move them on through! Not necessarily a bad thing, because the practice does seem to run very efficiently. First time meeting Dr. Gomez, and felt comfortable with his conservative approach to my medical care. High grades for his staff - professional and friendly from front desk to exam room assistant to PA to check-out.
