Cristal Ramos, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at OnePeak Medical. She hails from California where she finished her nursing program at the American University of Health Sciences and graduated Summa Cum Laude in her class and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (international honor society). Cristal has experience in various nursing areas including skilled nursing and post-acute care but spent most of her nursing career in the medical-surgical, cardiac-renal, and telemetry units for over 10 years. Thereafter, she attended Charles Drew University where she received her Master’s in Nursing with honors and was also awarded “excellence in clinical nursing practice.”
Cristal started her advanced practice nursing career as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner where she was given the opportunity to learn about what goes on in outpatient clinics. During this time she was given a significant opportunity and exposure within the skilled nursing facility, post-acute, rehabilitation, and acute-care setting. Subsequently, she continued and focused her practice as an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner in the hospital and gained knowledge in functional medicine. Cristal prides herself in making use of the different components in healthcare to individually care for patients in a personalized manner while using a holistic and evidence-based approach.
She is very excited to expand her functional medicine knowledge at OnePeak Medical to generate a revolutionary way of caring for patients. By digging deeper to find the root cause of a disease process, Cristal looks forward to making a long-lasting difference in each of her patient’s lives. Cristal is a sincere believer that the “process of learning never stops!”
Personally, Cristal loves to be outdoors. She loves to dirt-bike with her husband and enjoys weight-lifting and Pilates for exercise. She loves her family and dear friends very much including her beloved pets Kenobi, Mia, and Phoenix.
