Hi, I'm Shannon M. Smith, and I am passionate about delivering compassionate healthcare. With over 20 years of nursing experience, I'm a triple-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master's in Family Health Nursing from South University, Savannah, and hold a Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from The University of Alabama. I believe in patient-centered care that is accessible, supportive, and meaningful. Before entering healthcare, I proudly served in the United States Navy. The discipline, resilience, and dedication I gained during my service continue to guide my approach to patient care, especially when working with veterans. Serving those who served is a privilege I deeply value. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, which keeps me at the forefront of evidence-based practices. My dual certifications allow me to address both physical and mental health needs, ensuring holistic care for patients of all ages. My mission is to build relationships based on trust, open communication, and shared goals for optimal health. I understand that every individual's story is unique, and healthcare is never one-size-fits-all. Together, we can craft a personalized plan to help you achieve your health goals and live the life you deserve. I am honored to be part of your journey and look forward to celebrating your victories and supporting you through challenges.
