Dr. Brooks is an experienced psychologist with clinical skill across a number of areas, including serious mental illness, mood disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, and life issues. She specializes in helping those struggling with chronic and often invisible physical illnesses, such as Multiple Sclerosis, migraine headaches, traumatic brain injury, autoimmune disorders, and chronic pain. Dr. Brooks has training in neuropsychology and health psychology, which are the foundation for her many years of clinical practice. Dr. Brooks works with adults, families, couples, and adolescents (ages 13+) to help them improve their quality of life by addressing the root causes of issues impacting life and relationships.
Credentials & Educational Background:
Dr. Brooks earned a Masters of Science degree and a Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology, both from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Florida. She completed her clinical internship at the Missouri Health Sciences Consortium in Columbia, Missouri. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from Augsburg College, in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she graduated Summa cum Laude.
Balancing out her life, Dr. Brooks enjoys being active in the 300+ days of sunshine in Colorado, spending time with her family and animal menagerie, and is a keen consumer of blues music.

Dr. Brooks was exceptional in every way and made us feel very comfortable and at ease. She has a high sense of insight and compassion combined with a high sense of professionalism. I would highly recommend her for your needs.

Excellent psychologist, excellent bedside manner, only thing is you sit In the waiting room entirely too long. First visit was over an hour wait. I am very patient so I stayed instead of rescheduling. I will continue to see her because she is wonderful, I just know I'll be waiting...
