I was very pleased when Dr. Zara quickly pushed me in front of all patients because my eye was hurting a lot. She fixed everything.

Dr. Zara attended Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she earned her BA in Biochemistry. Following graduation from Skidmore, she matriculated at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Upon completion of her doctorate degree in Optometry, Dr. Zara earned a residency position at the SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan. She spent a year advancing her knowledge of comprehensive eye care, while concentrating on children with vision-related learning disorders. Dr. Zara is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Outside of the office, she volunteers for Housingworks, an organization dedicated to providing medical care, advocacy, employment and housing for homeless New Yorkers living with HIV / AIDS. She is also an active member of the Skidmore alumni community, and is a member of their reunion planning and fundraising committee.

Dr. Zara took care of my eye exam nice and quick. I had chosen my glasses and was out of the office in only 20 minutes.

A couple days before my appointment, I was asked to move it to 45 minutes later, which I agreed to. I showed up 15 minutes early to do my paperwork, and then went on to wait for over an hour. I told the doctor that my appointment was originally set for 9 and moved to 9:45 so why was I only just being seen at 10:55, and she said she wasn't sure why they would book my appointment then because they "technically don't open until 10". She then rushed through my appointment. While she seemed nice and knowledgeable, I felt I wasn't being fully taken care of.

Thankfully doctor Zara took me the same day as I booked my appointment because I lost my eyeglasses. I got mine within 2 days!

I have went to many eye doctors but out of all, Dr. Zara was the best. I needed cataract surgery and she got me in with only a two week appointment, wow!
