About Dr. Mesha Patel
Dr. Mesha Patel was raised in Queens, New York and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York where she was also enrolled in the accelerated 3/4 Joint Degree Program with SUNY College of Optometry.
Dr. Patel was dedicated to pursuing a career in Optometry from a young age which drove her to apply for this program during her late high school years. While enrolled at Adelphi University, she shadowed and worked for several Optometric specialties including Contact Lens Care and Vision Rehabilitation which sparked the start of her Optometric career. During her time at SUNY College of Optometry, she demonstrated interest in Ocular Disease and Specialty Contact Lenses. Upon obtaining training through a rigorous academic and clinical program at SUNY, she was prepared and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Dr. Patel completed her fourth year externship rotations at Bellevue Hospital, Compton Eye Associates, SUNY University Eye Center Primary Care and Ocular Disease and SUNY Contact Lens. She specializes in primary care, specialty contact lenses and management of ocular disease. Dr. Patel is highly trained in hard contact lens fittings including gas permeable and scleral lenses for treatment of keratoconus and corneal disease as well as orthokeratology for management of myopia.
Dr. Patel is dedicated to providing thorough and specialized comprehensive eye exams including additional testing and procedures when indicated.

Loved everything about my visit . I am looking for a new eye dr and I think I found her ! From the women at the front desk to the actual Dr it was an efficient , pleasant experience. Only negative is the parking isn’t that great , but just a minor detail.

Dr. Patel was both informative and friendly during my visit. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel at ease. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful. They’ve provided a great overall experience.

The only problem I had was how they kept offering more to my glasses. I had explained to them that I have been wearing glasses since second grade and that my glasses are very expensive. That this is the first time I had insurance that covered my glasses. When I asked the gentleman what wall I should be looking on a small tray came out of cabinet that had very few frames on it that bothered me I think you should offer a little bit more to people that have insurance through the state you gave me a very low option of glasses to choose from that is my only issue with your establishment. Offer more frames for the less fortunate or who can't afford to buy glasses and be able to see the world
