I realized I might be autistic at 58. Over my life, I have dealt with many mental health care providers, as well as providers dealing with various unusual health issues, and I rarely felt heard. I learned I was the only one who would truly advocate for my own care and sought answers to my lifetime of struggle. I have been dismissed, gaslit, and fired as a patient! My anxiety coming into this appointment was through the roof.
It took very little time to realize Dr. Pina-Delgado was truly listening to me. My defenses melted. I felt very comfortable and that she truly cares and will help how she can. Very professional and explained things clearly. Communication is difficult with autism, but Dr. Pina-Delgado clearly knows her way around and I felt heard for the first time, in a VERY long time!
I would highly recommend Dr. Pina-Delgado! She made an extremely stressful process more manageable and best of all, renewed my faith that there ARE still providers who care, and gave me hope!

Dr. Pina Delgado earned her PsyD in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from Albizu University. She was the chief intern at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Ryder Trauma Center Neurorehabilitation Unit. She completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship with the Center of Cognitive Neuroscience and Aging at the University of Miami - Miller School of Medicine.
Following residency, she accepted a faculty position with the University of Miami, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor, Clinical Neuropsychologist. Dr. Pina Delgado primarily worked with cancer patients conducting neuropsychological evaluations as well as providing individual psychotherapy and cognitive remediation/rehabilitation.
Currently Dr. Pina Delgado is working as a Clinical Scientist and also sees patient's on a part time basis in her group private practice Vita-Cog Consulting, LLC.

They had to reschedule 3 times because the provider didn’t show up to the appointment. The receptionist Sol is rude and hung up on me 3 times. The office manager was dismissive and had an attitude when I didn’t want to reschedule with them. They also tried to charge me for 2 visits I never got because the provider didn’t show.

Had appointment canceled and rescheduled for a month long wait. Today was the appointment but it got canceled without any notice despite getting messages of confirmation the day prior and reminder today. This is now the second time the appointment is canceled. Will be looking for a different doctor instead. This to me was a big lack of communication and a lot of time wasted. What was also odd was the appointment being set for in person and then getting switched to online only for the day to come and get the shocking news when it was time to be seen. Disappointed.
