My practice is centrally located in Gladwyne less than fifteen minutes from Bala Cynwyd, Wayne and Plymouth Meeting.
Each patient comes to my office with their own unique experiences. In my twenty years of clinical work, I have found that getting to know my patients leads to a collaborative effort that facilitates their gaining a deeper understanding of themselves. This can help alleviate their emotional concerns.
I previously held a full time faculty position at Hahnemann University Hospital where I taught psychiatry residents. I continue to teach psychotherapy courses to advanced clinicians and believe empathy and genuineness are essential in a therapist. I try to help patients clarify their feelings and discover hidden emotions and desires through in-depth psychotherapy. Addressing personal obstacles that may interfere with someone achieving their goals is an important component of my work. I am well versed in the use of medications for panic attacks, depression, attention difficulty, anxiety or excessive worry.
I am also past Associate Medical Director at Hahnemann Hospital's Medical Psychiatric Unit and current consulting psychiatrist at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital where I provide psychopharmacology for patients with brain injuries and other complex medical problems. I provide psychopharmacology consultation for patients with co-morbid medical and psychiatric problems as well as general mental health conditions & make recommendations for primary care physicians to utilize.

If you are looking for a therapist / psychiatrist , Dr. Panzer is qualified. If you already have a good therapist and need help with Meds only, he is not the one.
