I am empathic, warm, and personable. I communicate in a non-condescending, unpretentious way. While I may have the right credentials, I am willing to admit when I make a mistake!
I've been treating adults for over 13 years. I provide empirically validated treatments such as Psychodynamic, Relational, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. More importantly, I take great care in our relationship. Your success in and outside of therapy is my biggest concern.
I stay abreast of current research and make changes accordingly; however, I know my limits and will make appropriate referrals if and when necessary.
My specialties are relationships, depression, trauma, chronic pain and chronic illness.
Outside of my private practice, I am a staff psychologist and Assistant Professor at Montefiore Medical Center.
