My goal when I meet a new patient is to understand what they are going through and what has affected their life. If I work with you or your family member I will try and understand your situation and history and will get a sense of how to shape modalities of therapy to help you and/or your family member to overcome the problems. I see a range of ages from children and adolescents to adults. Although every individual problem is unique, I have expertise in Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) in children and adults, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
With children, adjusting to new and challenging situations can result in behavioral and academic problems. Through ongoing work we can create a plan to help mitigate the suffering and lasting effects that these challenges can bring. I utilize psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques combined with psychopharmacologic medications, herbal remedies, and supplements.
