Born in Louisiana and raised in Moreno Valley, California, Dr. Vu began her optometric career at a young age volunteering in the Eye Clinic at a local medical center and working as an optometric assistant during her undergraduate years. Dr. Vu attended the University of California—Riverside, receiving her Bachelor’s degree at the age of 20. She then ventured to the East Coast and attended NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to further her optometric education. Dr. Vu obtained her Doctor of Optometry (O.D) degree as well as a Bachelor’s in Vision Science in 2012. During her time at NOVA, she completed externships at Envision Eyecare of Broward, FL and Aran Eye Associates of Coral Gables, FL. Upon graduation, Dr. Vu relocated North and practiced optometry in Philadelphia, PA providing ocular/vision care as well as co-management with Mid-Atlantic Retina of Will’s Eye Hospital. After much historical, architectural, and artistic sites Philadelphia had to offer, Dr. Vu decided to settle down long-term in Melbourne, FL. Her current educational interest is in ocular nutrition. She is a member of the Ocular Nutrition Society, the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. Dr. Vu is BLS/CPR certified and speaks fluent English, Vietnamese, and competent Spanish. Dr. Vu’s interests are healthy cooking and exercising.
