After graduating from the University of Florida, she attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, where she received her Doctor of Optometry in 2001. She practiced in the Washington, D.C. area for five years, and returned to her roots to Orlando, in 2006. Dr. Thai began her partnership with Lenscrafters in 2008, being the primary doctor at Lenscrafters West Oaks Mall in Ocoee, FL. She continued the relationship by being the primary doctor for the Winter Garden Village Lenscrafters. Dr. Thai has been an integral partner with Lenscrafters, and is one of the trainers for other Lenscrafters doctors in the Central Florida region when new technologies are implemented, like the Clarifye digital eye exam experience. Dr. Thai and her staff believes in using the latest technologies to improve patients’ vision and the eye health experience. Her office has the newest technologies to care for the patients’ eyes, and the most accurate eye exam available. Dr. Thai also believes in the continued improvement of the Optometry profession. She has been a board member of the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians (CFSOP) for over 10 years including serving as president for 3 years. Under her leadership, the Society in conjunction the State and National Optometric Association promote excellence in vision care through the highest standards of patient care and to enhance and promote the independent and ethical decision-making of its members. Being a doctor has many challenges, however, there is no reward like being able to give back. Dr. Thai began her journey of giving back, both locally and internationally with a wonderful organization known as OneSight. Through OneSight, Dr. Thai has provided free eye exams to local patients in need and also traveled the world with a team of dedicated eye care professionals to provide free vision exams and glasses to the people who needed them the most.
