I saw Dr. Mark Strosser. He was very thorough and spent a lot of time explaining everything to me. I highly recommend him. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming.
I used ZocDoc and it did work in that I was contacted by the Palm Coast Eye Center, but they set up a different appointment time for me. Their appointment book does not link up the ZocDoc.

The waiting room with aquarium was cozy. The front office staff was welcoming, cheerful. The doctor's assistants were professional, efficient, sweetly made me chuckle with a joke and made me feel like I was in the perfect place for my eyes. But best of all was the ophthalmologist Dr. Weinkle, his Harvard training was impressive when I picked him from ZocDoc, but his warm greeting and smooth transition from exam to explanation of findings gave me exactly what I hoped to find at his practice, a total professional who makes a dreaded eye exam actually delightful. Just great!

A native Floridian, I grew up in Coral Gables. I was introduced to the great outdoors at an early age, while fishing in the Everglades and the Gulf Stream and exploring Biscayne Bay. Many summers were spent at Sleep-Away camp in the mountains of North Carolina. After attending Coral Gables High School, I entered Princeton University and graduated in 1976 with a BSE in Chemical Engineering. After completing medical school at Harvard in 1980, I moved to San Francisco for a one-year internship. I then finished a three-year residency in Ophthalmology at Stanford University in 1984.

I thought the Dr. and Staff were pleasant enough but did not appreciate waiting for almost 1/2 hour for the Dr. to examine me and then another 15 minutes after dilation. My complete exam took over 2 !/2 hours. I was exhausted and had a mild headache due to
bright examination lights.
I am seriously rethinking the need for another "annual" exam next
year due to my good results and high cost even with insurance
coverage.

Very thorough and good visit. I hope he calls in my Rx's though. No handwritten scripts anymore, so have to trust the doctor sent them to Walgreen's.
