Daniel Ahoubim is an engaging and dedicated neurologist and sleep medicine specialist. Originally from Jericho, New York, Dr. Ahoubim now serves Manhattan. Dr. Ahoubim received his medical education from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University and completed his fellowship program at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Ahoubim’s fluency in English, Hebrew, and Farsi makes him accessible to patients from varying backgrounds. However, it is his attention to detail and compassionate nature that truly sets him apart.
Dr. Ahoubim is devoted to ensuring the longevity of his patients’ neurological health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. His broad medical scope encompasses procedures such as portable home sleep testing, Botox injections for migraines, trigger point injections, and EEG interpretations.
When he is not working, Dr. Ahoubim likes to exercise every bit of his humanitarian instincts. One of his biggest charitable contributions is to the Camillus House in Miami, an organization that coordinates food drives for the homeless in downtown Miami. Dr. Ahoubim also enjoys kickboxing, swimming, boating, cooking, and traveling.

His admin team are hard to reach, always distracted and do not follow through with their commitments. They say they will call back or do other things but never do. I never got to reach them when I needed them. The doctor himself is very curt, rushed during appointments and does not listen much to what your needs are. No empathy at all.

So I had to switch from this doctor because they didn't follow up with me for over a month after saying they would schedule an at-home sleep test, they don't answer their phone after numerous calls, and don't return messages. What's the point of a doctor if you get zero help?

The visit was very rushed and it felt like he was in a hurry and almost kind of disinterested. I now can understand why the critical reviews on Zocdoc said the things they did. He was very efficient though and had good relevant advice so I would still go to him. I just wish he showed more sincerity and gave more time to listen to patients.

I saw Dr. Ahoubim for about a month and I liked his homeopathic approach to treating insomnia. He put me on a sleep restriction regimen while taking supplements. Also the wait time for the televisits wasn't too long. However his availability and communication was horrible. At best, he only has availability for an appointment once a week and during the month I saw him, he was unavailable for 2 weeks in a row twice. Also he would constantly change your scheduled appointment times. He never responds to emails and you never know what the hours to the Manhattan office are like. I reached out to the secretary to pass my insomnia concerns to the doctor due to him not being available during the day of a follow up but the office or doctor never responded back.

I have no complaints about the physician himself. However, I was supposed to receive a follow-up phone call for a specific equipment and I never did. I called the number (no response and mailbox full) and emailed. No response. This is really problematic as I've been dealing with sleep issues and it's been about a month and nothing from them.

But I had to cancel a sleep study where I would sleep at their clinic, because they refused to send an email confirmation of the appointment.
I’m sorry but I’m not sleeping in a stranger’s room without an email trace. That feels very scary to me, and I’m sorry they don’t see that.

The initial consultation went well enough, and I completed a take-home sleep study. However, scheduling a follow-up was a nightmare. It tooks weeks of calling their office to schedule a follow-up. They don't respond to voicemails or emails, and the office is frequently unstaffed. Later, I discovered they overcharged me, which is fine, I understand how complicated insurance can be. But receiving a refund has been absolutely impossible. They don't return my calls, and it's been over a month of dealing with them. Really, do not go here if you can avoid it.

they were supposed to give me a call with my results within 2-3 business days, and didn't. i called multiple times to receive them, and never got a call or email back. i went to the office in person after a few weeks, and the doctor wasn't there, but they said i would get a call with my results the next day. i never got that call. the only thing they gave me was a summary of results in the mail, with no additional context or recommendation on how to proceed provided. very poor service and i will not use again
