I went for a Thyroid surgery consult and was very impressed! Dr. Kuriloff was very thorough in his explanations and performed a few tests including an ultrasound in his office itself which gave me confidence in having him perform my surgery.

Daniel Kuriloff, MD FACS, ECNU, is a board-certified head and neck surgeon and director of Head & Neck Endocrine Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health. He specializes in disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
Fellowship-trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Kuriloff's esthetic sense and attention to detail are combined with proven surgical techniques that reduce complications and minimize scarring. After earning his degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, he completed surgical residencies at Albany Medical Center, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed an approved fellowship in head and neck cancer and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals.
Having performed more than 4,000 thyroid and parathyroid operations, Dr. Kuriloff's patients have extremely low complication rates and excellent outcomes.
Dr. Kuriloff is also one of the only surgeons in New York who is double-certified in ultrasound diagnostic endocrine imaging of the neck. He routinely performs this procedure in his office during initial consultations to avoid needing multiple outside appointments, tests, and biopsies. His ultrasound expertise often results in an immediate diagnosis and identification of early spread of cancer, often missed by outside studies. This facilitates optimal care tailored to the patient from the get-go, minimizing excessive or inadequate treatment, inconvenience, and anxiety.
Dr. Kuriloff takes pride in listening to his patients and educating them, spending the time needed to answer all questions.
