He grew up in the Houston area and attended Baylor University for his undergraduate degree. He then studied medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and did his residency in Internal Medicine in Austin. He returned to Houston and has served Houston area communities as a hospitalist for the past six years. Dr. Nguyen has treated a multitude of patients with chronic diseases and observed that many of them are a direct result of obesity. Thus, Dr. Nguyen developed a keen interest in preventative medicine. Since then, he devoted his career to the treatment of obesity and guiding patients to a healthier lifestyle. Recently, Dr. Nguyen found that skin health is just as important to a patient's self-esteem as their weight. He became a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and trained with world renowned specialists in the area of skin care. Medical Weight Loss and Wellness is the result of Dr. Nguyen's relentless pursuit to provide excellent, personalized care for his patients so that they can achieve inner health and outer beauty.
