I started seeing Dr. Sica last year as my primary Doctor and find him to be very thorough and answers questions in a way that makes it easy to understand. He will have you off sugar and starches by the end of the appointment!

I'm not sure if Dr. Sica was having a bad day or is just an unsympathetic jerk. It was my first appointment with him. He never discussed with me my medical history, my family's history, or my current issues. He just told me I was fat and needed to lose weight. Hey genius, I look in the mirror each day. I know what I am. He then proceeded to try and "educate" me on diets. Being formerly anorexic on more than one occasion and then swinging full to the other side and being overweight, I know a ton about nutrition. My issues aren't knowledge, but biological. He wanted to hear none of it. I actually started crying because he wouldn't listen. Instead of being sympathetic, he offered me a tetanus booster and offered to refill my scripts. Huh? Then he walked out. My "physical" lasted 15 minutes. Other than listen to my lungs, feel my thyroid and do an ekg, he did nothing. I've got a history of cancer in my family and started doing PSAs early. Nope. Didn't care. Did do any nerve testing (rubber hammer on knee). Didn't check and of my man goods. Just said. Hey your fat and you need to be skinnier. Gotcha. Ok
