Welcome to Optometry Center! We have been serving the Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mt Washington, Glassell Park, Lincoln Heights and Pasadena Area for over 30 years.
In addition to eye examinations and contact lens fittings, our office is certified to treat eye diseases including glaucoma, infections and allergies. We also can treat dry eye syndrome and computer vision syndrome(CVS) with various lenses and punctal plus to treat the problem.
We offer the latest in technology like the DRS Retinal camera system, OCT retinal scan and Matrix Visual Field to help better diagnose and treat our patient in all areas of eye care.

I love this place I recently moved to Los angeles and needed to eye glasses asap but I'm on maternity leave and all I have is medi-cal insurance since they haven't transfered my case my insurance shows San Bernardino county and no other eye clinic would take my insurance because it wasn't transferred to Los Angeles i came in they were able to see me and I got my prescription plus the service was fast and the staff was so nice and the doctor answered all of my questions and concerns

I had an emergency shortly before my appointment with Dr. Tang that unfortunately caused me to run late. While I was on the freeway, I received a phone call from the doctor's office. One of the front desk staff was calling to ask if I was still going to make it. I let her know I was running late and would be there in 5-10 minutes (about 15 minutes after my appointment time). She said it was okay and that they would see me soon. As soon as I walked in, Dr. Tang handed me my paperwork (which he suggested I have my gf fill out) and he would take me in right away. He was very friendly, knowledgable and very accomodating. There were no issues getting in or getting out. They were very upfront about the prices of their frames and I did not feel at all pressured to make any type of purchase. The woman helping me with the glasses even suggested that if I was confortable with my current glasses, that I didn't need to upgrade unless the prescription had significantly changed, which it hadn't. Overall great experience! My gf is actually thinking of switching to Dr. Tang as well. :)

Dr. Tang was fantastic. He took time to talk to me and recommend new contacts from what I've been using, and explained the advantages and why it would be better for me. The rest of the staff was also very friendly. Like a lot of eye doctor offices though, I felt at times that I was being pitched and sold to. Though I do believe that everyone involved was sincere in their recommendations and just trying to get me what they think is best.

Dr. Tang was both friendly and informative. I liked that he wanted to ensure that I understood everything and wanted to educate me. The office is neat and attractive and it seemed to be a popular practice! The process was smooth and painless and everyone in the office was professional, yet friendly. I was choosing my new frames in no time. I would highly recommend Dr. Tang and his staff.

The wit time was only about 15 minutes for one of the staff to place me in a room. I really recommend Dr. Tang as he actually knows what he is taking about and also explains it to you so you can understand. The staff that helps you pick out glasses are amazing and explain how the glasses would work and which frame works best for the prescription the doctor gave you.

Great! Consider training receptionist to ask patients to bring eye glasses to the appointment, especially for contact lens appointments - the patient is left blind for a long time which may be uncomfortable.
