About Dr. Richard Elhaj
For nearly two decades, Dr. Richard R. Elhaj has been an integral member of Laser Eye Center, known for a personalized approach to patients undergoing refractive surgery. He spearheaded the practice's downtown location and his specialties include dry eye, refractive (LASIK & PRK), EVO ICL, cataract, pterygium (carnosidad), keratoconus, co-management contact-lens fitting, as well as cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Elhaj earned his bachelor's in biology, cum laude, at UCLA and his Doctor of Optometry at the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO), with an externship at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital. His training spans ocular-disease management, contact-lens fitting, low vision, and vision therapy. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Society.

?Dr. Elhaj is truly an exceptional doctor. From the moment I walked in, he took the time to listen to all of my concerns without ever making me feel rushed. He is remarkably patient, kind, and thorough in explaining everything about my eye health. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines high-level expertise with such a compassionate bedside manner. I felt completely cared for and in great hands. Outstanding doctor and wonderful overall experience. Highly recommended!

Really solid visit with Dr. Elhaj. He’s attentive, addresses all your concerns, and takes the time to explain things clearly. I started off a bit nervous about a concern I had, but left the appointment feeling totally at ease. 10/10 Would recommend.

My visit with DR. Elhaj went very well! He went through my dry eye condition in detail about what can be done and recommended the ilux treatment which helped me out alot after one time! Wonderful bedside manner!
