More about Dr. Danielle DonDiego, DO
I am a Family Physician and Obesity Specialist who studied at the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (where I earned my Doctor of Osteopathy degree). I also studied business at Virginia Tech, where I earned an MBA.
I did my undergrad at Florida State University where I played club volleyball, got interested in weight lifting to improve my overall health and fitness, and later became a Certified Personal Trainer. I love to lift weights, do HIIT, and run. I have competed in a National Physique Committee (NPC) bodybuilding bikini event, earned my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and played competitive basketball.
As physicians we aim to solve problems. I have interests in enhancing the overall lifestyle of my patients; more specifically weight management, fitness, nutrition, reproductive health, sports and preventative medicine, and even managing end stage disease.
On another level, I understand that providing healthcare on a larger scale is a problem that this country is currently facing. Those in business don’t always understand the professional world of medicine, and medical professionals don’t always understand how their services are managed and provided outside of their exam rooms. As a DO/MBA, I aim to change the model of medicine in order to provide care to everyone that desires a physician’s professional advice.
With our country growing and evolving at such a fast rate, medicine must keep up not only with pharmacology and technology, but business models that are sustainable so that America’s quality of life meets our standards.
I’m excited to be doing exactly this with my SteadyMD patients.
